Overview
Lake Ngozi, also known as Lake Ngosi, is Africa’s second-largest crater lake, nestled within the Mporoto Mountains near Tukuyu in the lush Southern Highlands of Tanzania. At 2.5 km long, 1.6 km wide, and about 75 m deep, it’s a serene and mystical spot. Trekkers hike through tropical montane forest rife with endemic chameleons, monkeys, and bird species to reach a ridge offering sweeping views of the tranquil alkaline lake.
